Description:
Well known National Charity are looking to recruit a Regional Events Organiser for its West Region. Their offices are in Birmingham. The role is to cover a maternity leave and is likely to last for 6-12 months and carries a salary of £25000 plus a car allowance and excellent benefits.
The role is office based with substantial time spent in the field and on weekends/evenings due to the nature of the role.
The main objectives of the role are:
-Develop existing fundraising events in order to cost-effectively increase
the numbers of participants, the proportion who raise sponsorship money
and the average sponsorship per participant.
- Set up and manage new fundraising events that fit with the national series
of events.
- Create events which link with and support national campaigns
- Develop local contacts and seek sponsorship and gifts in kind for events.
- Create innovative and unusual events.

Key skills required:
-Proven event organisation ability and experience.
-Excellent negotiation skills
-Understanding of the corporate market
-Good interpersonal skills.
-Ability to organise and motivate volunteer groups
-Organisational skills - must be able to motivate and advise individuals/groups
on the organisation of local fundraising events
