FMCG company are looking to recruit a Quality Manager for its well established site.
This position requires a self motivated individual with excellent communication skills, initiative and the ability to drive exacting quality and food safety standards within a busy and progressive quality team.
The role requires an individual with a hands-on approach to driving quality and motivate the others in the QA team with enthusiasm to achieve the same.
Applicants will have a third level qualification in a food related discipline and should have at least 3 years experience in a food related manufacturing plant. Previous experience of BRC and HACCP is essential as are an excellent knowledge of current food legislation and food labelling requirements.
Responsibilities will include; covering for the Technical Manager, BRC Accreditation, developing and maintaining Quality / Hygiene systems, managing the Quality Team, organising product testing with the external laboratory, the Complaint System, Quality Assurance, HACCP & Hygiene audits.
Other duties will include working with the major retailers and maintaining their specifications and recipe systems. There will also be a requirement to check artwork and assist with production on new product trials.
